Do you need a structure to follow or to debate with in order to challenge your daily performing self?
Apply for the second Pilot Training of the InPerTrain Project!
Call for actors, acting students, and performers interested in developing their skills and learning how to train alone!
The InPerTrain Project
Individual Performer Training – Innovation in the performer’s training practices: research on individual performer training structures and methodologies supported by Erasmus+.
(Read more about the project itself below.)
The Pilot Training
The aim of the Pilot Training is to test the current phase of our educational research project in practice. It is joint practical research with participants to develop an actor’s self-training structure.
What do participants get?
You can be involved in the development of an international education and research program. You will receive theoretical and practical support on how to enhance your own acting development. You will also get some hints on how to construct your own training material that you can use on your own on regular bases to maintain and improve your performing skills. You can get familiar with some of the exercises from different actor training approaches like Chekhov, Grotowski, Odin Teatret, Stanislavski, Viewpoints, and Whang.
What do we ask?
The participants are asked to attend the full period of the training as well as to be open, curious, and willing to work on the suggested exercises. It is also necessary to give us feedback on the training and the research program.

About the InPerTrain project
The partnership of Ladder Art Company, the University of Arts Târgu-Mures, and La Forge du Vallon has designed a project to address the upskilling needs of performers at the European level by co-creating a new innovative solution in performer training. This 20-month-long project is to be realized in 2022-2023 with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU.
The project objectives:
1. address these upskilling needs through innovation in VET (vocational education and training)
2. bridge a gap in the current VET offer in the field of Performing Arts
3. boost the capacity and resilience of the performing arts sector.
During the program, the partners are developing a manual, a training guide for performers with the aim of introducing innovation in performer training. The manual is a theoretical and practical guide for an individual actor-training structure. It provides performers a guideline to develop their own actor training program, which can be done regularly and individually, in order to maintain and improve their performing skills. Besides the training occasions, InPerTrain also has a community of practice providing a platform to discuss and debate the upcoming questions about the topic with a wider group.
